A Response To Theology
The over riding principal of our Toolkit is that all scriptures concerning the entire end time need to fit together as a coherent whole with no scripture at all on the subject left out and without any non scriptural material put in. (Our Toolkit requires 200 scriptures gathered from Deuteronomy to Revelation to work seamlessly together).
This requires that each subject cannot be treated on its own as a separate issue. It will need to fit with everything else in the whole bible without a single contradiction. Once all the individual pieces are laid out and the pieces of the puzzle fit and a clear picture is in front of us the answers to almost any question regarding the end time have already been neatly laid out.
Having said that, we are faced with the literal hundreds of ‘theologies’ or directions that the subject can be approached from and then hijacked. In Christ’s time there were theologies. The Sadducees and Pharisees were different theologies within the ‘church’ of the time. One group did not believe in a resurrection or angels. The others put more ‘faith’ in their tradition than the words God spoke.
Christ ignored both and just went for the ‘It is written’. This was His answer to almost every question.
Different theologies or positions on the same basic facts indicate a failure to understand those facts. To be more precise it is the act of taking certain scriptures on their own and making a ‘theology’ from a limited perspective to suit a particular agenda. They will always clash with other scriptures further down the line. Another ‘theology’ will then be required to explain the mismatch, and on it goes becoming more and more complicated.
All scripture on a subject taken and dealt with as a complete whole leaves almost no room whatsoever for variation, it will not fit together making sense other than in its correct position.
We are asked all the time which (end time) theology do we ‘come from’. Are we post-millenialist,
pre-tribulationist, this or that ’ist or ’ism?
All of these positions, if they have differences and inconsistencies with each other must ultimately also have inconsistencies with God’s word. Usually this is from handling the subject from a limited perspective.
We have found no theology that can adequately place all the required scriptures in place without major problems, so the answer is we are not comfortable with any theological position in its entirety on this subject.
