The following article is an excerpt from the book by Michael Storey: The Return of Christ and the Love of the Saints.
Come Out of Babylon My People
This book started out by saying if God says something once, He means it. If He repeats it then there is more emphasis being placed on that issue. Here is another of those instances where a theme exists and by and large it has never been explored fully. We are all familiar with Revelation 18:4:
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Taken on its own it could easily be justified to mean what is popularly thought to be the case; a generalized instruction not to take part in the casual lifestyle of the unbeliever. However this verse is but one of at least ten on the subject and when placed together they make up a completely different picture.
We will look at them collectively and then dig a little deeper into their purpose.
Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob. And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out. Isa 48:20
Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing ; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD. For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward. Isa 52:11
Remove out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he goats before the flocks. Jer 50:8
The voice of them that flee and escape out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of the LORD our God, the vengeance of his temple. Jer 50:28
Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD' vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence. Jer 51:6
We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies. Jer 51:9
My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the LORD. Jer 51:45
Ye that have escaped the sword, go away, stand not still: remember the LORD afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind. Jer 51:50
Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon. Zech 2:6
Even after a quick read of these verses, all of them relating to the end time, it is clear that a literal, physical leaving of Babylon is meant. Even the Revelation 18:4 verse when you read the rest of the context in verse 8 is also clear in that regard:
Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
The whole reason for coming out of Babylon is pure and simple, so that they don’t partake of the plagues that come in one day: death, fire, famine and mourning.
If we take some of the other points contained in the preceding verses then we will have a lot more to go on.
The Purpose
With a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob. And be as the he goats before the flocks.
To declare in Zion the vengeance of the LORD our God, the vengeance of his temple.
These three segments indicate that it is not to save themselves they are to leave; it is to broadcast what God has done, why and what will continue to happen. ‘He goats’ are vigorous in how they go about things. (Talking about John the Baptist, Christ said ‘what did you expect to see, a reed blowing aimlessly in the wind’? Luke 7:24).
The People
Come out of her, my people
Be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD
My people, go ye out of the midst of her
Deliver thyself, O Zion,
These are obviously people special to God. Those that ‘bear the vessels of the Lord’ is especially helpful in as much here is a symbolic expression used to describe people in the future written in the terms of the language of their day. I.E. it is used as a metaphor to describe people closely connected to serving God in the end times. This is very useful in understanding the similar use of language relevant to the original writers but intended for us: ‘the daily sacrifice’ and ‘the sacrifice and oblation’ are not referring to literal sacrifice but are metaphors used to describe those directly involved in the work of the Lord. From this we will be able to arrive at a logical explanation of Dan 9:27 and other verses shortly.
Wise Virgins
For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward.
And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.
This was always a planned operation. The wise virgins of Matt 25 were ready and waiting, they understood what was coming next and God is right behind them both in the context of backing them up with the support of His Holy Spirit but literally walking behind them to see that none are left behind that should not be. The verse on the ‘waters to flow out of the rock’ is a very significant verse indeed, we will come back to it later for now, once again, it shows the provision God has made for His people.
Why
It is plain to see a purpose is underway here. There are certain people that are needed for a special task. It is certainly not for everyone, logic determines that not every Christian is suddenly going to leave Britain and America, Israel and all the other Israelite nations.
This could be best described as a spiritual Dunkirk. The frontline troops are pulled back from being completely swallowed up, solely to conserve them for an operation elsewhere.
If we have a spiritual Dunkirk, we are also looking for the equivalent of a Spiritual D-Day, the day when God’s people go on the offensive. This will be Satan’s last stand; we can expect something very dramatic.
When
The scriptures make it obvious that once the end time is well and truly underway, the whole of the US and Britain will become areas of complete disarray. There will be no transport or any organized services still functioning. Europe will have closed its borders due to the millions of people that will try to flood in. It is essential that if God’s people are to leave all their respective countries, it must be while the world is still a normal place, before the sudden destruction occurs. Once the gospel has been proclaimed, in whatever form that takes place, the ‘Saints’ as we will now refer to them, will have very quickly sold everything they had and poured it into the warnings that were necessary. They know they have just over six months until as a result of the worldwide calamity Europe will have united and reorganized itself following in the wake of the ‘beast’. The Saints have just a few months to accomplish the ‘watchman’ commission. God’s spirit will lead them to resolve that timing; then they have to leave, obviously the question is where to and what to?
Forward Into Battle
The Church started with a full dose of the Holy Spirit, miracles and God’s obvious presence were easily recognized, the last chapter before Christ’s return will be full of the same evidence. Love for their fellow man is what drives these people on towards an inevitable head on clash with Satan. Physically they stand little if any chance; spiritually they are more than conquerors.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. 15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. 16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John 15:13
These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. 2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. 3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. John 16:1 1
These tough but encouraging words describe the ‘job description’ that a true Christian may have to face and there are no easy options.
But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. Matt10:33
Paul in Hebrews chapters 11 and 12 details the tenacity of past biblical heroes that will constitute the ‘Saints’ when the first resurrection occurs. Paul makes no distinction between Old or New Testament ‘members of a church’, that has very little to do with it, ‘they and ‘we’ are all part of the ‘us’.
And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect. Heb 11:39
The ‘promise’ is now very close indeed and that is probably the one great advantage the Saints have in the end time. With all the hindsight in the world they know beyond any doubt exactly what is happening and what will happen very shortly and they know they win.
But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect. Heb 12:22
Magnificent beyond our ability to really describe in writing or any other way, we just can’t grasp what it will really be like, but we are not there yet, a word of caution follows this verse:
See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. Heb 12:25
So where do the saints go after leaving their respective countries? All scriptures from here on show the saints are actively engaged with the beast. Wherever the beast is, that is where you will find the Saints and that is in Europe.
The Mark Of The Beast
A very quick reminder of the circumstances: (1) The gospel goes to the world. (2) Babylon falls. (3) The beast will emerge and start to implement his regime; the ‘mark’ is compulsory.
And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Rev 14:9
Here is the most extreme warning; on the one hand if you take the mark of the beast you are as good as (or worse than) dead. On the other hand if you don’t take the mark of the beast there is no way to survive, therefore you have signed your own death sentence.
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Rev 13:16
Here is an unexpected conundrum for these people, but somewhere behind the scenes there is a reason for this state of affairs. First one more point:
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Rev 14:12
I would not use this verse on its own to build a whole case but it illustrates that it is here that the Saints are active, where the beast is, and all other references to the saints from here on will be the same. The beast is not in America or Australia or Britain; those countries virtually do not exist. All the previous scriptures indicate those countries including Judah have been taken as captives away from their homelands. They are now scattered across the world.
Why is the focus now switched to Europe?
Because that is where the remaining tribes of Israel are!
There is no favoritism with God. (No respect of persons with God, Rom 2:11)
God had nothing against America and Britain in particular, but they were the leading nations of the tribes of Israel, therefore bear more responsibility, but it is all the house of Israel that will be brought back to the Promised Land as mentioned in an earlier chapter. Somewhere, sometime they had to come back into the picture.
With the fall of Babylon, God has placed the tribes of Joseph and Judah in a position where they must turn to Him to survive. Now it is the turn of the other tribes of Israel. They are now in as just an unenviable position, either they disown God and ‘live’ or they obey God and court certain death.
Europe will need all the help it can get from the Saints that come out of the other nations. How many people are we talking about? It obviously cannot be very many. Every scripture on the subject indicates almost a total rejection of the truth of the matter and by definition a complete rejection of doing anything about it.
But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows, And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented. Matt 11:16
Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the LORD. And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness. And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not. And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them. Ezek33:30
Both these examples involve the equivalent of the mainstream belief of the day and they refused to act on the truth when it was presented to them.
If we want to know how many will both understand and do God’s will at the end; so did Christ, He asked the same question:
When the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? Luke 18:8
It is all very well saying the Saints are now prepared to take on the beast, but how is it possible for a relative handful of people to either make a difference or be effective? The degree of difficulty will be extreme, on the one hand there are the fanatical followers of the beast more than willing to turn any non-conformist over to the authorities and on the other the formidable range of modern technology that is able to follow the Saints every move. CCTV cameras, phone calls, any kind of transaction is instantly able to be monitored and would give away their location.
How can a few individuals possibly take on the might of the most paranoid state in history?
Matthew 10
Here is a chapter positively loaded with the most amazing detail but like so much scripture, without knowing what you are looking for we can read straight over the top of it without seeing what it contains.
But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come. Matt 10:23
‘Till the Son of Man be come’ indicates one thing: whatever the instructions given here, they are current right up to the day Christ returns.
We need to study this chapter and find out just how much is relevant specifically to the end time.
I will paraphrase to start with and then we will sift through for as much additional information as possible.
Christ chooses His twelve disciples in v 1, they are told to go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel in v 6. Along the way they are to heal the sick, even raise the dead and especially tell them the kingdom of heaven is at hand, vs. 7 and 8. Make no special preparation for the journey, as those whose households that you enter and are worthy will provide for you, vs. 9 to 15.
‘But beware, the times are treacherous, yet you must be guiltless. The authorities will arrest you, according to My purpose, I will put My words in your mouth when the time is right; but that does not mean they will appreciate or like what you say but do not give up’. Vs 16 to 22.
The remainder of the chapter is generally encouragement to carry out this task.
All the way through biblical history, God has given his servants the necessary tools to do the job. Moses and Aaron with Pharaoh, Samson, Gideon, Daniel with his dreams, Elijah with the prophets of Baal; at every critical junction of God’s plan He steps in and dispenses all the help His people need.
We read the key points; about raising the dead and performing other miracles. They were specifically saying the Kingdom was about to arrive. Their means of support was provided, they were to do this specifically amongst the lost tribes of Israel and right up to the day Christ arrives. That would make at least some of it applicable to today. If that is the case we should be asking ourselves how much of it relates to the end time?
Could it be that this all applies to the end time, that this is in fact instruction specifically for the end time?
Three chapters that are particularly about the end time are Matt 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21. We will check them for common denominators to find out which verse are linked to each other.
But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. 10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations. Mark 13:9
The gospel going to all nations first puts the context of this verse firmly in the end time, so being brought before courts of law and other public bodies is relative to us.
But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. 12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. 13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Mark 13:11
We can be positive these verses are relative to the end time, back in Matt 10 we will pick up the same conversation starting in verse 16.
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmlessc as doves. 17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; 18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. 19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. 20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. Matt 10:16
This is the same conversation spoken by Christ as recorded by Matthew, therefore this is also an end time instruction; we can add this section of Matt 10 to being relevant for us personally.
Now we will go to Luke 10. This chapter starts off by answering another question for us; is Matt 10 only referring to the twelve disciples? Was it all an instruction just for them? We can see here that it is identical for ‘seventy also’ starting in verse one:
After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two bybefore his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. 2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. 3 Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. 4 Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. 5 And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. 6 And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again. 7 And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. 8 And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: 9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. Luke 10:1
This passage is virtually identical to the first half of Matt 10 verses 5 to 15. Even the reference to the harvesters being needed is in Matthew, (the verse before in 9:37). The fact that this is all the same for both the twelve and the seventy shows that it is a pattern.
We have seen how the last half of Matt 10 is for us, today. What can we now find that would link the first section where Christ says to heal the sick and raise the dead, and the last half about being brought before the courts that would show this is one complete instruction for the end time? We are looking for information that would show this is one conversation or instruction recorded in three separate places, line upon line, and precept upon precept. What is the common denominator that shows this all belongs as a whole?
In Matt 10:16 ( the end time section): Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
This is a warning to use extreme wisdom; remember this will be a very dangerous period to speak up in opposition to the beast. The advice is to first ‘inquire in it who is worthy’ v 11, though eventually some will be apprehended and brought into the public arena for a witness.
Now it is back to Luke 10:3 which is the equivalent of the Matthew section, dealing with going to the houses and healing the sick:
Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. 4 Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. 5 And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. Luke 10:3
There is the common denominator. The sending forth as lambs amongst wolves is common to both sections and shows it was one original instruction, although written in different chapters.
Remember Christ said not to change a single detail.
This is a staggering concept. I said the end time would be the most exciting and unexpected you could imagine. If you will forgive me a little colloquialism, the Church started with a bang and it certainly ends with a bang!
The reality is the end time is also the most difficult time to operate in. When you really think about it unless God gave us abilities far and beyond the day to day, it would be utterly impossible to do anything in a ‘Gestapo’ type Europe. All scriptures show the end time saints being persecuted by the beast. Where the beast is; is where the Saints will be; that cannot be in the States, Britain or Israel as the complete disintegration of those nations rule out any possibility of courts being in operation to be brought before. God is already dealing with them in different circumstances. We also need a region where there are ‘kings’ or heads of state; ten of them are with the beast. In Europe the remainder of ‘the lost sheep of the house of Israel’ are to be found.
If you were to purchase any goods, use a mobile phone or a cash machine, we would not last a week before being rounded up. The situation is exactly the same as in World War Two behind the lines in Europe. We will be utterly dependant on ‘underground support’. They will feed us, transport us and see to our needs. In return Christ says for those that are worthy and help us ‘heal their sick, raise their dead’. They risked their lives to help us.
As we advise them, explaining how the scriptures apply, explaining that following the beast means denying Christ: if they are sincere Christians their choice is now laid out before them. If they choose to follow Christ and deny the beast, they have sealed their own fate also. ‘If you seek to save your life, you will lose it, if you lose your life for My sake, you will find it’. That holds true for every one.
War In Heaven
Are there any other clues that indicate these passages particularly concern the time of the return of Christ?
It is almost as if Christ had anticipated that exact question.
And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Luke 10:18
This did not happen then and will not until the moment Christ returns.
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Rev 12:7
Satan is cast out from heaven after the war with Michael and his angels. Now we can conceive just how evil and terrible ‘the time that is none like it’ will be. Satan is cast down to the earth and ‘let loose’ for three and a half years; he has free reign acting through the beast and this is why it is the ‘great tribulation’. The Saints are spared; taken out of the way, to the ‘wilderness’ for the last three and a half years.
Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. Rev 12:12
When the seventy returned, what just had happened prompted Christ in his mind (who knows the end from the beginning) to be thinking of the fulfillment of this pattern at the time of His return. Just to help us He spoke those thoughts out loud.
One more confirmation of what Christ was thinking and what He wants us to recognize:
But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God. Luke 9:27
Once again, like Satan falling, the kingdom of God would not be around for a long time. This was always a tricky verse to comfortably explain. Some bibles (mine is a Thomas Nelson Old King James) have the paragraph mark ( ¶ ) that show that verses 23 to 27 are a separate section, not part of the main flow of Luke nine.
These verses are part of the conversation in Matt 10 from verse 33 where Christ is speaking about not denying Him, it is in that context He says some will not die before He arrives with the kingdom. We can get confirmation of that in the Mark account.
Mark 8:34 to 38 covers the Matthew 10 subject, and then the next verse which is chapter 9 v 1 quotes the information about not seeing death till they have seen the kingdom come with power. Remember there was no chapter and verse separation when this was written, and the marks that are in some bibles showing the original paragraph sections show 8:34 through to vs 1 are one subject, a new subject starts in vs 2.
The ‘transfiguration’; the usual explanation for 'seeing the kingdom' was a type or pattern of the kingdom to arrive. Christ did technically tell the truth to them but He was really speaking words of encouragement to those who will be there when the event that ushers in the kingdom finally arrives. That will be a very tough time, but in line with His promise that no one would have to deal with more than they can bear, some will survive all the way up to the resurrection.
We will come back to these two verses in a moment, because there is still one more verse we can use as a cross-reference to double check to see if we are on the right track.
Let’s take a summary of what we have looked at .
These verses show Christ knew exactly what the situation would be two thousand years ahead. To give instructions for his disciples then, at that time, not to take spare shoes and not to make great preparation for a trip was completely out of context. They were only away for a few days and with very few recorded exceptions not too many people were raised from the dead and not too many definitive miracles have been recorded within the Church down through history. He was talking about a time in the future. Even the seventy sent out at that time that came back all exuberant were a very temporary group, they all abandoned Christ later over the issue of the bread and wine.
In this day of RFI tags placed in consumer goods and as mentioned the instant way we can all be tracked by CCTV cameras and computerized banking systems, God’s people in the last days will need to be almost invisible. No cars, no phones, no credit cards, nothing to give your position away. Even the underground in France during WW2 would have had it easy to stay undetected compared to what it will be like to stay at large in the beast’s domain. Christ foresaw all this, He also recognized that extraordinary times require extraordinary actions. To get their information across, His own people need to be recognized. Because of the depth of confusion and deception, they need to be very recognizable to certain people for what they are, yet at the same time they still need a lot of help. The ability to heal the sick and raise the dead meets all these requirements. On the other hand, without these abilities there is no way the end time ‘disciples’ could be seen or heard or function at all.
All these amazing circumstances mask an extremely difficult time for God’s people. There will be precious few harvesters when the fields are ripe. Christ has to use some stern words to help us make our decision as to what our action will be:
But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. Matt 10:33, 37
And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:27
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. 24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. Luke 9:23
Water In The Desert
There is one more scripture we could look at that confirms the direction we are going in. This was one of the ten scriptures that indicate a literal coming out of Babylon:
Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob. 21 And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out. There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked. Isa 48:20
If we run through the main points; (1) come out of Babylon, and in the context of many of these passages, being end time, ‘Chaldeans’ would be the equivalent of the un-Godly. (2) With all your strength declare and explain what is going on i.e. God has stepped back into the picture and is going to ‘redeem’ His people whether they like it or not, as usual they will resist. (3) The next part is really the fascinating bit. When they come out of Babylon (this never happened when they left Babylon the first time), all their physical needs will be supplied by God’s intervention, by contrast the wicked will receive no help. This is an end time prophecy and it dovetails completely with what has been explained in this chapter.
The love of God is clearly evident in this chapter. He had it all worked out from the beginning, all our needs have been taken care of on the condition that we provide the faith to step out in full trust.
The love of the saints is the demonstration of that faith.

Next study: One Shall be Taken, one shall be left...
This verse has popularly been thought of as a 'rapture'. After reading the above article, the real answer will seem obvious.
